Storage Peeler

Very hand and don't have peels flying everywhere. Just dump the cup.

I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by this little gadget. It seemed a little "gimmicky" when I saw the listing, but I was curious enough to give it a try. I'm glad I did! The blades are actually serrated and quite sharp. You can see the pattern of the serrations on the cucumber that I peeled. I had a little bit of trouble removing the lid to the storage box, but on the flip side the lid doesn't just pop open during use either. I tested the blades by changing up the speed by which I attacked that cucumber, and I am happy to report that it worked great no matter how fast I worked. So, I decided to give it more of a challenge and tackled a chayote squash. As you can see from the third and fourth pictures, it did a really good job. I thought it would give me trouble since the blades don't swivel independently from the handle like the type of vegetable peeler that I'm used to using. Basically I was able to make up for the lack of swivel by just peeling a little bit deeper. All it took was a few more swipes, and the job was done. I didn't even having any trouble with peels getting caught up in the blades. So, for this price point, I was very, very surprised at how well this worked. It will make a nice addition to my kitchen, even though it takes up more room in the drawer than a typical vegetable peeler. If it starts giving me trouble in the future, I will come back and update this review.

This vegetable peeler is easy to use and catches the peels as you go. The handle features a comfortable, lightweight grip. It works quickly, but is best for small potatoes as the storage container doesn’t hold very much. The blade is sharp, though it will be difficult to sharpen. It works fine, but traditional vegetable peelers are still a better option.

Nice gadget to have. You can only peel 1 potato at a time.

Definitely an easier cleaner way to peel stuff. normally when I’m peeling vegetables I just put a couple of paper towels in the sink and then peel the vegetables on that and then gather it and throw it away. with this they all gather in the midst of the container and so you don’t have to do a whole system like that . It lasts through at least a potato and a half and before you have to empty it and it’s a great product I love it
